Your comment regarding hardware MIDI synths not be able to enjoy instant "rendering" was the biggest eye-opener/lesson for me... I guess that makes sense.... it would be just like me playing my guitar or you recording a part playing your keyboard... can't be instant!

But I still need to grasp what you mean by "You will have to arm a stereo track for recording and record the performance from start to finish..." Do you mean I'd have to go to, say, RB and record the parts (together or separately) on a different track in WAV form, then do a "rendering"? And how is that done? I know how to record my guitar onto an audio track, but how do I record the midi parts from the same song back onto itself on new audio track(s)? I don't know if my question is clear... :-(
