Hi folks,

It's been a while. I've been threatening to come back and attempt to integrate BIAB into my work for some time now. I always liked the idea of it and indeed the sound and possibilities inherent in it, but have always been put off by the GUI. I have the 2015 version and always found it to be really cluttered and poorly laid out (Sorry PG Music!!)

I'm wondering has the GUI and navigation been addressed in recent releases and can anyone attest to how much better or otherwise it has made their experience when using the product.

I might also add that the video tutorials appear to be a little haphazardly laid out. Perhaps some categorization for quick and easy browsing would be beneficial. Askvideo and Groove 3 are 2 data bases I've used that really streamline the learning process and navigation for any of the software they offer tutorials on. Just some of my thoughts.

Keep rockin' and thanks in advance for any help.

Nick

The GUI hasn't significantly changed since 2014. The program opens to one of two windows. You can toggle between the two windows by pressing Control + T on the computer keyboard.

I view BiaB as less of a DAW and more of a full tool box the screen can be cluttered or not. The less cluttered view as Jim showed looks nice but requires more hunting down of feature, and as so more familiarity.

In my first response I failed to mention Groove3.com has Band-in-the Box video tutorials covering both Band-in-a-Box for Windows and Mac. You can find out more about them +++ HERE +++

Although the Mac video is from 2014 and the Windows is from 2015 both remain informative, relevant worth viewing. I purchased the Windows series and have the files on my computer so they are always available as a reference resource.
