Hello Scott,
I already told you that I'm a huge fan of your song writing and this song is excellent, too. Loved the message, loved your vocals, almost adored your tiny backgrounf vocal fills. Perfect backing track.
When it comes to sound you can always discuss this and that and most likely Floyd's and Ray's suggestions might help to improve the sound, but I really enjoyed my listen a lot the way it sounded.
Really looking forward to your next song!
Take care,
Stefan Thanks, Stefan. Your comments are appreciated. I did a quick remix last night and tried to correct some of the vocal problems that had been vexing me, so I think it sound better when you listened to it today than it did yesterday.

Scott, Excellent tune, very different from others I heard from you. Especially vocals. I do not know what you did, but they sound big and warm even in my headphones, which are on colder side. Positive and raw energy on this. Iggy Pop came to mind. Scrolling down, I saw that I was not alone seeing IP influence. Very good performance and production. To my taste this is one of your best, mainly because of how you recorded vocals. You have a strong voice, but in many other songs, I think it was curbed by EQ. I guess it is a matter of taste. Enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing!
Misha. Thanks for listening and commenting, Misha. As far as vocals, I usually color the vocals for the style of the song. It's funny about the Iggy Pop reference because I haven't listened to him before. I will have to add it to my list.

Yeah, this is GREAT!
Vocals are just outstanding. You already have good feedback on the mix from floyd, so no need for me to add anything there.
Excellent song, excellent performance! Thanks so much, Dave!

What a cool rebel yell to close your excellent vocal throughout - minor tweaks aside you nail this as far as I`m concerned. I liked your song inspiration and follow through with sharp lyrics and a slight metal vibe to the backing works very well. Liked this alot!
Robert Thanks for your feedback, Robert.

I really like your vocal on this one... It sounds pretty bold & fits the production nicely... I also like your lyrics especially... "Put away the face You stole from a jar"... A very vivid line...
I'm pleased you found time to write one over Thanksgiving! Thanks, Jim! Again, it's good to have you back.

Exoteric... darned it, made me look that one up. I don't hear a lot of vocals in the lower register, and you sound excellent in that range. Good write, nicely done.

What better way to spend free time than making music! And it sounds like you had a lot of fun playing with concepts on this one. Great job, and thanks for sharing!

Ezekiel’s Storm,
Wow, total 60’s throwback for me, a bit Doors (again for me), a bit psychedelic—gravitating tune. Great job on the vocals and backing tracks. Enjoyed this a lot—really well put together.
Cool, cool tune!!
All my best,
Deej

Wow, vocals are amazing, and you didn't even use that awesome low register you have! It's interesting the comparisons people have made, from Iggy Pop to Jethro Tull, and I heard Iron Butterfly. You got some pipes, dude. Looking forward to whatever else you come up with.

Dear Scott,
just listened to the revised versiin: Those tweaks really paid off - sounds terrific now. And, oh boy, your voice: just marvellous.
Scott, I have to return to your enunciation. I mean, I know that there are numerous varieties of American pronunciation (we hear a lot of them here on the forum, and following the recent inquiries on TV is really a treat for someone who is interested in that issue, if you can blind out the unbelevable cause for a while, that is ), but the way you articulate 'I'm not a pretty woman' sounds far more British or rather what linguists call 'mid-atlantic'. Please forgive me my curiousness: Did you grow up in the States? And if so: in which part?
Best regards,
Stefan

Best regards,
Stefan Stefan I lived most of my life in Michigan. For the past seven years, I have resided in Virginia. I spent my first 33 years in lower Michigan, and then another 16 years in Michigan's upper peninsula, which has a completely different accent, sort of Canadian/Minnesotan. My enunciation probably comes from my studies in broadcasting and theater at the university in the early 80s. (Although I have been to Great Britain a few times, I don't think I picked up their speech patterns. )

Good rocking tune, those heavy guitar instruments work really well with your voice and the mix is excellent. Energetic vocals, I really like the final cry! I would really like to see you performing this live on stage, jumping like Iggy Janne

Hi Scott,
thanks a lot for your replyI - hope you don't blame for my curiousness.
Well, obviously I was completely misled, but your enunciation is really marvellous, listening to you is a real treat for me !
All the best,
Stefan

"Put away the face You stole from a jar You’re always afraid Exoteric feathers and tar"
Well, that'll get your attention from the get go. Cool write indeed.
Great edgy vocasl and a showcase at the showcase for the use of RT/RD tracks. Excellent.
We cranked up the KRK's and everything held together just fine.
Rock on!

Hi Scott,
This is a very engaging listen.
The band was awesome and was an excellent backing.
Rock is a genre that really challenges me when I try to write a rock song. I need to take a few lessons from what you've done here. Excellent work.
All the best, Noel
