Yes, it happens constantly. You have been misled by the program into leaving those second 8 bars blank. Unhide them by removing the check mark from the "fake mode" box. When they unfold you'll see what I mean. Copy and paste material from the first 8, so it will have something to play.
Next time you make endings, pay closer attention to the dialog. You'll see there's a provision to "add bars" for the second ending. It makes no sense as presented. Choose it anyway. Experience shows Biab things like this never change, so we have to get used to it.
