Can those who know the etiquette of this forum tell me if there's a place here for feedback or input on song ideas and works in progress? The User Showcase is clearly for finished works, which maybe need a bit of polishing, and I don't want to be cluttering up the Songwriting forum with a bunch of links to some half baked 4 bar chorus. Let's say I have something that I like but I have this very bad feeling that it's just really just "Just the Way You Are" or "Does Anybody Know What Time It Is" in disguise? Or maybe I have a song stub that I think is great and it's really a wet noodle?
I can see that there might be some concerns about retaining rights when you've posted something that is not fully baked, and there's really no way to protect it, but in my case I don't believe that is an issue.
I'd like to hear how you all handle those and if there's a place for it in one of the forums.
