The other way that is way too easy is in Reaper using ReaTrak to integrate Biab & Biab Plugin into Reaper.

You can get the chords/part markers into Reaper with "Biab Plugin Chords" or MusicXML,
you can generate up the Biab RealDrums directly in Reaper "Biab Drums".
Once generated you simply select the hold/shot and change it to whatever you like,
you can also adjust the timing and the volume.

Thanks Pipeline.

I generally only use BIAB, I probably need to carve some time out to look at RealBand more closely.

Actually the Surf Rock 2 example I was using has a Cymbal plus BD hit that would be perfect for Holds but would need to be shortened for a Shot.

I could also import the WMA into Sonar & combine individual hits but I don't know how much effect time stretching has on the sound - this is beyond why we pay for the convenience of BIAB, though.

The main point is that PG didn't think about how to produce professional sounding Drum Shots & Holds in the first place & have just left it as it is for 10 years.

Cheers
