This has been asked for a lot, but I don't know how it can be done in Biab as it all seems to be deeply embedded into it by adding different time signatures together as "cells"
In RealBand it uses real time signature but if you save it to an sgu it reverts to 3/4 4/4 so you can't make a usertrack for RealBand with any real time signature.
I could do it with a script that you save the the wav of the usertrack wav that can be any time signature at all along with the ABC notation file that will give the bar location in the wav file of all the chords.
The script would then get the chords in your chord sheet by copying the chords from the ABC notation by accessing the Save As ABC Notation dialog "Copy to Clipboard".
It will then read the ABC notation file of the usertrack and randomly choose that matching chord/section from the wav file splitting, transposing, joining and setting the bpm then import into the RealBand track.
But if it's not possible with Biab without a total change at least try and get it in the Biab Plugin so it will follow any time signature or tempo map of the DAW, as RealBand has decimal point tempos but Biab rounds them down or up to the nearest whole.

The concept is great and could work.

Moreover: Why haven't they engaged you on their development team yet?

That would be great if it also includes MIDI tracks.

One of my biggest complaints about BiaB is that it only works in 2,3 or 4/4 time signatures. By today's standards that is very tragic IMHO.

It's called the Heineken Maneuver.

Hi Mario, I agree. I guess the problem here is that nobody could envisage where this program would be so many years down the track, and a lot of the foundation was based on a structure using limited time signatures.

MIDI could be done in a wider range of time signatures without major effort (coding only required), but RealTracks would all need to be recorded again in each different time signature. A bigger task indeed.

Actually that's a good idea for that RealBand script, it could not only save the any time signature usertrack as wav but also as midi to give midi usertracks.

I need to find a way to get the Part Markers from a RealBand session as if I save it as ABC or MusicXML there are no Part Markers to say where the different playing styles are in the source files.
I can get the Part Markers from a Chord Chart Converter for MyJazzBand that converts the SGU to .mjb text file,
but if I save a real time signature in RealBand as SGU it will dumb it down and stuffs up the Part Markers for the 4/4 limitation.

You would have to save the A style as one RealTimeSignature UserTrack and the B as another.
When you generate it up you can select what bars have what UserTrack and the script will join them together as one wav then import it. You could also regenerate any sections you like. It could have a drag n drop from the script's GUI to drag n drop the new section in overwriting the existing bar/s.
It could the also use real time signature tracks created in REAPER by reading the region .csv

It's the only way I can see to get Real Time Signatures.

SGU to .mjb text file
Code:
Name: Hard Rock with 80s Synth RealTracks Demo
Meter: 4/4
Style: Swing
Key: C
Tempo: 120
Chorus: bars 1 to 96 (repeat 1 times)
Sections: 1A 9B 17A 25B 33A 41B 49A 57B 65A 73B 81A 89B 97A
