Two reasons: 1) I like to pan those parts to create the impression of making old mono recordings stereophonic, like bass in the middle, drums left and piano right. 2) You will lose left or right details if you pan tracks containing stereo recorded instruments like B3 organ, piano and accoustic guitars. I think that will not be the case if the parts can be set to mono.

I like Biab the way it works. It's really great, but I am always looking for new challanges. Like in this case, the possibilities of the application to create the sound and mood of a song exactly like I wish to hear.
