Very keen observation, John. Like Horatio Spafford penning, "It Is Well With My Soul" as he crossed the waters where he was told he lost his most dearest loved ones, music is the response to tragedy as much as it is a response to celebration. God designed music that way. He uses it to comfort the soul in times of pain. For centuries, it always walked hand in hand with the truths of scripture as a means of strengthening the heart of the believer in the greatest, most overwhelming circumstances.

Think about it a moment. Like other events in the past, the people that morning in Haiti were going about their day just as with any other moment in time. And the next moment before they they could think it came upon them. It should cause one to think soberly on the vapor life really is.

Thanks again, John, for being moved to pen this song. I apologize for not being able to supply any technical thoughts.
