Until you figure out or are able to get the silent 4 beat count-in turned off from begin saved as silence at beginning of wav, and not sure that's an option right now (I never save files that way so I wouldn't know)

Making loops in Audacity is not hard - but you are right if you try to do that for more than few it would be tedious (welcome to the old way's - LOL)

Melody -> Generate Sound Track

and turn off fade-in and fade-out (first and last two seconds

I just generated a 4 bar loop - NO silence before or after in wav file
