Betreff: Re: PG Music Support

Rob - you see I am trying hard to get some enhancement because I like your program. I am working with computers for more than 25 years - mainly involved in technical trouble shooting.

mme is not the solution due to delays while monitoring the guitar input via biab ( or other programms )- like to hear exactly what I am recording. I need to use asio. I do not use realtek hard or software anymore. monitor speakers are connected to the external soundcard - tho no switching on vista side is needed - fine and easy to control.

Only pg-products will not fit this configuration :-(

Friends of mine have the same problem with biab and vista ( 32 bit ) - they also tryed to fix it with no result - tho they asked me for help.

I tested many differend prgrams like magic, cubase, audacity, mixcraft and all of them can be concurrently used - whitout problems - maybe one will take over sound control but release this after closing or switching to another program. e-mu and viste is supporting this.

only biab and rb and realtrack cause this problem ( realtrack the version comes with biab plus - is even worse and crashes ) - even when I switch between them - rb even crash, means I am getting the vista error message telling me rb does not respond any more.

It is hard to accept that vista UAC should causes this problem - it seems to me that biab is not implemented in a way vista asked for it.

I am using e-mu 0202|usb with last update drivers - a quite often used hard and software.

biab and RB is installed while I was logged on as an administrator, I choosed intall as administartor and I am running it as an administrator - tho all permissions should be allright.

I had updated before testing to last patch ob biab.

Do you think there could be something wrong with the way I installed biab - I read a lot FAQs, but cound not find useful answers. Please be aware I am not a beginner ;-)

maybe you could ask your programmers to behaviour of the connection beween biab and asio drivers ( especially e-mu ) - I tested also with asio4all - it is the same problem.

I hate to have such problems while playing at home - at home my programs must work ;-)

I do not have any problem if I am ( and friends ) the only one who complains about this - or if this concerns only few of your customers - tho it is not worth for your company to invest some more time in this topic.

If your compay is interessed to solve this - I will support you and do some more testing - but need some more detailed infos to localize to problem.

I am happy with your support - please tell me if you want to investe some more time to this topic - I would be happy to get this problem sovled - other people like crossword puzzle, I like computer puzzels.

I am sure in future this problem will concern more people - mac are not increasing so much like in former times.

Thanks for your patience - looking for some more support.
