I got to know Wayne Cochran, back in the early 80's when I was in Houston. Was privileged to get to play with him a couple times. He was one of the pioneers of Rock n Roll, and his rendition of this song was an inspiration for Elvis to start singing it. Wayne was a fun, and crazy guy. He passed away back in 2017. This song always reminds me of him.

Thank you Steve. Janice's brother mentioned Wayne Cochran when he heard the song. And I've very recently read about him in "The History Of Rock And Roll Volume 1" that I just finished.
