John,

Are you familiar with a CD named "Sons of Somerlin" by an artist named... um.. I forget ( ______ MacDonald?). Anyway, It's a mix of traditional and original scottish songs. The song you posted is included on the CD, but the arrangement is quite different. I like your arrangement... it's sometimes tough to find styles that work for celtic music, but you did a good job on this one.

Live music is a whole 'nother animal than studio music. With live music you want more spontaneity and there is no opportunity to tweak anything. In that context, I think you are travelling down a good path. BIAB gives you the right tool for backing tracks that simulate the variability introduced by human musicians playing live. And the Vocal processor gives you full leeway to phrase your vocals differently at every gig and still have the backup singers right with you.

So with your new equipment you are totally positioned to have the time of your life as you travel and perform. I'm quite envious. Good luck! If your travels ever bring you anywhere near Winston-Salem NC, let me know so I can come and hear you play.
