PGmusic forces us EU buyers to use their yearly Audiophile update system.
1.5 TB of software, most already bought and already there. Again paying VAT and import duties over the same stuff bought before.
Well, actually the updates.
VAT is not PG's problem and responsibility somehow, but i don't need yet another USB drive, a waste of hardware, got nearly 10 USB PGdrives by now ...
Now what i really don't like is PG forcing us to accept FedEx. FedEx is ripping us off. Charges 25$ for Express Services, and it takes a week instead of the 3 days promised.
And on top comes 12.50 EURO (about 16U$D) custom handling charges billed separately as bonus aftermath.
I never had this with UPS or USPS shipping.
A PS: i asked PG before ordering if it was possible to ship USPS. Was told it was not possible.
I STRONGLY again would suggest an update service via servers and maybe a peer to peer system.
I have a subscription with a Russian software house with sometimes updates over 30 GB, spread over the year, and NO VAT charges. Rusland is also not in the European Union. Nada FedEx ripoff moneymaking scams.
I am seriously thinking of skipping the PG Audiophile updates altogether for 2021 and later. -F

Agree on this too I was forced to pay an Extra 26.00 GBP.
That was the first and last time I got the hard drive sent to me, and it is the reason I will not go for the audiophile version.

Strongly agree with this post.
What prevents me to upgrade my "normal" version to Audiophile is just custm charges.
