You could add a file called "safemode.txt" to the Preferences folder, and that will get the program to boot up with factory settings, and when you're doing testing, you can just delete that file to restore your original settings.

I think we're just wondering if you still have these strange display issues at factory settings. A screenshot would be helpful. You can attach to a forum post using the "File Manager" in the post reply screen.
