Great stuff, Mac. Way back when I was off the road for a few weeks someone told me Jimmy Smith was at Red Fox's club up in LA so I went to see him. Medium size place with a small stage and it was just Jimmy and a drummer. I couldn't see the drummer from where I was sitting but when they finished the set, Jimmy announced Red would be coming up for a set and when they stood up to walk off, it was Cos on drums. Red never showed up so Cos grabbed a stool from the bar and proceeded to hold court for about an hour. Pure magic. Only about 40-50 people in the place and I was sitting like 10 feet from him, how cool is that?
