An excellent article. Lots of nostalgia involved also. I had the original Notator software on an Atari 1040 ST. We worked out how to increase the available RAM. It had the ability to map more than the physical memory that was included, and I remembering soldering additional memory chips on top of the existing ones and getting the addressing right. Lots or wire-wrap leads going everywhere. We ultimately doubled the addressable RAM. Super-machine!
