Hi all, here is a song that was the very 1st one that I ever wrote in my life.
It was after a breakup of a relationship (funny how those things can change your perspective)
I had never even played a musical instrument when I found Band In a Box (I downloaded the demo - there was a demo at that time)
I believe between myself and God we came up with this.
How else can someone who didn't know a single thing about a quaver come up with this?

Here it is: Why

Let me know your thoughts.
BTW it is all midi.

Regards
michee

Like it Michee. Isnt BIAB wonderful
Reminds me of the late '60's early '70's
However it is a question I ask myself daily, especially recently LOL

It would be nice to hear other peoples 1st songs with BIAB and on that note I go looking for mine.

Michee,

Very nice. What a super tune for a first effort. I think you are a natural - you just needed to find the tool to bring out the talent.

Powerman said it all for me. If you would not have said it was your 1st attempt I would have never guessed it myself. Other than the midi drums that is.

Hey Mate. I like the song a lot. You are a talented writer and composer. Did you use the TCHelicon for harmony or did you voice double it? Sounds very natural.

I like the sound of the guitar. What did you use for it. You did say this song was all midi. The guitar has a very crystal sound to it. Good on ya.

gibson Thanks for your nice comments. Let us hear your first song with BiaB.

Powderman Thanks for taking the time to comment I appreciate the kind thoughts .

Danny C Thanks to you also Danny

Russell No I didn't use the TC Helicon (didn't have it in Biab at the time) so I doubled up the singing.
I also used a Korg Triton keyboard (not to play but just for the sounds - used a friends keyboard). This was before any RT or RD. Thanks for listening and your nice comments.

Hey!
Love the song, a very real part of you shines through on it! I went through a similar break-up and this song reminds me of what I listened to as I got over it. Great job!

Funny you should say that.

I've only started playing bass and guitar about five years ago.
And only started writing songs about two years ago.

When I was in high school and college I used to write poetry.
But I called them 'sonqpoems' because I always knew that someday I would set some of them to music.

And now I have.
Some here might remember a long time ago I was asking if there were any traditional English ballad BiaB Styles.
I was asking because I had an old poem/lyric in mind that I wanted to flesh out as a real song.

I'll upload a couple and post them as soon as I can.

The only trouble is, as always, I can't sing for sh-t.

Nice song George! I'm pretty sure that a lot of musicians have used music as a vent when their love broke up! Your song says it all and much moore!
