Hello, Due to some issues, I've had to re-install RealBand. The problem issues are gone and everything seems to be back to normal except that sound is only playing through the Left Channel. All other Audio Apps, BIAB etc are playing both channels. Am I overlooking something in Prefs?
Check Audio Prefs for the selected Audio input/output Drivers in RB Depending on device these may allow such weirdness
The meters seem to show out signal on both Can you clarify whether the output is playing on both channels? Is the input playing on both channels? (obviously one is not as desired)
If you actually record a few seconds, do both sides get recorded when played back? Do you hear both sides on playback?
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!
When I record a couple of seconds as you suggest, only the L channel is recorded. Recording is set as Stereo mix, so this reflects what I hear through the speakers. When I render to stereo WAV everything is fine. Driver is MME.
As I said at previously all other Audio apps are OK, BIAB, Reaper, Windows Media Player, etc, So the problem must be somewhere in the depths of RealBand.
This is perplexing; it may be worth letting PGMusic support take a look at it, or whoever else you trust. Is Live Chat available at the top right of this screen?
It sure does sound like a setting in RB is the cause (since everything else works as expected), but I can't think of what it would be. There is a MONO checkbox in the RB Mixer screen, this couldn't be it, could it?
Have you tried renaming the files Realband.INI and RB.CFG? If you close RB, rename those files, then re-open RB, it will reset your RB settings for devices (essentially a factory reset). It will then recreate those files as it launches. Should things actually seem worse after trying this, you can rename those two files back to their original name to get back to where you are now.
Both of those files are in your active RB folder (usually C:\Realband)

Apologies for not replying sooner. The day after my last post things got worse, all audio output sounded as if being passed through a delay pedal. This was across all apps and RB still had Left output only. I decided to perform a Windows recovery and that cured the audio but also messed up my log in details to this forum. It has taken until now for support to get me back! So the problem is not solved but has gone away.
