A vocoder is typically used to manipulate a vocal sound. But I don't sing, so I mangle everything else I can find with the plugins I have... The vocoder provided the the initial texture that I wrote this to. Even though it's drums being processed, it had a basic F minor tonality that pushed me in that direction.

This one uses the new Waves plugin called OVox on two different drum tracks, built from the BB drums; screenshot below. You can hear the two vocoded part clearly in the intro. They come and go in the background while the unprocessed BIAB track continues.

BIAB provided the bass player via the VST plugin on a Studio One track.
2284 Bass, Acoustic, BossaRon
464 Bass, Acoustic, Bossa
Drums are BossaBrazilPercAlex^1

Synth Pad is from the VST instrument Xpand!2, “Beneath The Waves”

The Muted Trumpet is from the Studio One Presence instrument. I transformed some of my guitar playing with Melodyne into the trumpet parts.

The guitar is an ES-335 recorded direct through the Waves SSL Channel.
