Actually it is working for me. Note that Band-in-a-Box ships with it's own version of the synthfont that's called "VSTSynthFont64.dll". It's in the Data\libx64 folder, and Band-in-a-Box 64 will automatically try to connect with it at bootup. So, you should name this new Synthfont dll file to something else - it doesn't matter what. Maybe this will resolve the problem.

Band-in-a-Box does not automatically scan for ALL VST plugins (Sforzando being another exception) - you need to add other ones manually by going to "Add VSTi Plugin" in the Band-in-a-Box VST/DX Plugins window. FYI This data is saved in Preferences\VSTiPluginListX64.ini

The version I'm showing in the VSTSynthFont window is 3.420
