Here's a set of reels I composed a few years ago and decided to give them a new lease of life. The melody on all tunes was played on my Scandalli Super V1 accordion, and the 2nd accordion was played using my Roland FR4-X accordion. I think most musicians should spot the difference in the tones. The tunes then. Master Scott Wilson after my son ( now in his 30s for cryin out loud ), Jim Halcrows' reel after my great friend from Shetland who died a few years ago. Jim was my inspiration and I never tired of listening to his expertise. Jim was an amazing musician who had a photographic memory for tunes and he was such a modest guy and I was proud to have known him personally. Lastly a tune called Reelig house which sits in a beautiful estate near Inverness, owned by my old friend Malcolm Fraser. RealTracks in song: ~~541:Bass, Electric, Pop Sw 190 RealTracks in song: 1551:Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm MemphisSwing Sw 190 RealTracks in style: 2710:Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm CelticPolkaFastReelQuinn Ev16 140 RealDrums [in Song:Tango: a: Kick, Snare b: 4x Kick, Snare The tango drums are perfect for Scottish music ! https://soundcloud.com/graham-wilson-1/set-of-reels

You had my toe tapping by the second beat of the first measure.
You certainly know how to tickle those accordion keys! I really love your accordion playing!
Excellent as always.

Graham, If you can ROFL and get up again you're doing fine. Excellent reels. REEL good in fact. How is the panning managed? Is it part of the instrument or manipulated ITB? Well composed and played as usual.

Well composed and played as usual. Hi Ray the panning is done using sound forge and it's a simple matter of reducing the volume on one channel, then pasting the track into a 2nd and so on, I enjoy building up a recording in this way, I know there's simpler methods, but this has been my favourite way for years

Graham, nice playing! Almost gypsy style starting 2:50 You are so right, Tango drums worked very well on this. Thank you for sharing! Misha.

Hi Graham ...
A real nice set of reels! And your transition from one to another is so smoothly done! That's not always a graceful accomplishment, as you've done here. I would never have thought of Tango drums for a Scottish Reel ... great choice!
UH ... my kids are 48 and 51 ... I have grandchildren who have graduated college! But watching those grandkids move on in life is one of the pleasures of being a living antique!
Wishing you the best ...
Alan
PS: I have a good friend who lives in Dunfermline, just across the bay from Edinburgh and another good friend who lived in Edinburgh.

You did it again, Graham!
Your song immediately reminded me of Austrian songs (again), though this one is located probably somewhere else. I thought you said you had stiff fingers. Where??? Is this how you play with old fingers? That's amazing! You did a nice job with this song, Graham!

Nicely done Love the groove and vibe on this one - really upbeat, and makes for a fun and engaging listen. It had my toe tapping from the get go. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers, Deryk

Wow, Graham. As soon as I hit the play button my granddaughter (5) came running over to dance. Wish I video taped it for you. Her movements are definitely the best compliment to your ability. These ALL sound great! Thanks for sharing.
