Just to cap this thread, after quite a lot of effort on their parts, the BiaB team (thanks Andrew!) found the problem and provided a fix (apparently the issue is a bug in 3rd party code) that will, I believe, be rolled into the general release. Hooray! Qudos to the team, and many thanks from me for getting BiaB working. .. mark. (BiaB 2020 Mac; macOS 10.14.6; MacPro 5,1 56Gb 2xHex-Xeon RX580)
