Burning - Featuring Di On VocalsThis is the very first song we composed with BIAB back in 2011. We posted it here 8 or 9 years ago. It's a low quality MP3, but we will redo it as a higher quality MP3 and a Wave file if Di regains enough strength to sing again. This is another song for which we don't have a list of the original RTs. When that computer fried, we had a folder with about 20 songs for which we no longer have a list of the RTs. I wasn't smart enough to also put the files/tracks on an external storage device back then. But it's all BIAB plus Di's vocal. I recall that part of the style title included the name of Sade and it's in the key of Dm. Di no longer has the strength to sing at this point, so this is that original track with no enhancements or other changes - it's the original track we recorded back in 2011. I was a total rookie with BIAB and Audacity back then. Not sure I'm a whole lot better these days. I thought ya'll might want to hear her sing again, so I went way back and posted this one. Yeah!! Great song, Alan, and man! She can sing. Only complaint was it was too short  I would love to hear more of these older songs and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. All the best to the both of you.

I don't remember hearing it before; so thanks for the repost! I do think it would be cool if you revisit it. This song has such a cool feel to it. It feels like it could be a Sade (Adu) song. The vibe is working because you know how to put it all together. So yeah...I really like it!

Burning, indeed! Sexy and full of passion - such a terrific vocal!
I remember this - it is easy to recall the distinctive posts through the years - and this is definitely one of those!
Say what you will about being a "BIAB rookie" at the time... this is well done in all respects. The BAND selection and the mix are just what they need to be.

Remembering the way I was raised and morally counseled by my parents and elder relatives, if I had somehow been lucky enough (or clever enough) to cop a listen to your song, Burning, the next day I would have rallied my schoolmates around me on the playground and whispered to them in a conspiratorial way, "Hey, ya'll, last night I heard this record and it was people on it talkin' about doin' the nasty, hee-hee-hee !!!"   OOO-ooo-WEEE, you two, that was hot, hot, HOT!!! 'Scuse me while I open-up some windows in here, wipe that steam off the panes... ...Okay, I'm back. Now, what I wanna know is, why in the world would you post a song like that on this User's Forum when you know I'm sittin' here all by my d**m self sheltering-in-place with NO FEMALE by my side, huh??? Huh??? It's cruel and unusual punishment, and because you went on ahead and done it, you're not my friends anymore  . Seriously, though, with this one, folks, you know you have raised the temperature on this forum by lusciously lusty degrees, don't you??? Ms. Di, you sing like your soul has taken control over you and you're helpless to do anything about it. Unforgettable. Alan, whatever BIAB tracks you used, you selected and arranged them like a pro. We also came on board in 2011 but didn't post until 2012 so this is
likely our first time hearing this one.
There couldn't have been a better hook for this very cool
and sophisticated vocal! Wow.

They're all new to me, so I got no problem reposting. Great song and vocals, love that vibrato, what a great effect. Unique sound. Only hitch, it was short. Hey, that's what the repeat button is for. Thanks for sharing again, esp. us newer guys who didn't hear it the first time around. Great work!!

This is a dark-sounding but stunning melody! Well done!!! Your wife has a voice, for me, that combines the best of Tina Turner and Barbra Streisand.
