Hello Chulio,
If you're using a laptop, try plugging it in rather than using battery power. Maybe there is a power management option that is shutting down power to the USB ports after a certain amount of time.
Is the light the only symptom, or does the drive actually stop working after a few minutes? The light on many of the enclosures only flashes when the drive is being accessed.
It sometimes happens that a hard drive needs to be re-seated after shipping. To do this, unscrew the enclosure, gently pull the hard disk to disconnect it from the enclosure, then push it back in.
