The roots of Elvis and the Rock-a-billy genre are related
to British Isles folk; thinking -- fiddles, clogging, uptempo,
that kind of thing. The "British Invasion" of the 60's and 70's
had elements of "back at ya" with influence of Chuck Berry and
Jerry Lee. Led Zepplin captured the American and British youth
market in a way that hadn't been done before. One influence that
sunk into the genes was Eric Clapton, esp. white noise.
