Yes, the normal channel for drums is 10, and if you try to play drums on any other channel they'll play as piano usually. Some older non- General MIDI compatible synths used a different channel for drums, sometimes channel 16. You can set the Drums channel in BB in OPt.-Preferences-Channels if necessary, but this is not normally required. More likely, there is a setting on your synth you may have forgotten - sometimes there is a 'Song mode' or 'Performance mode' that you need to set.
