What a machine this B3 is. I decided to change a RealTrack to a MIDI Super Track then added (merged) my MIDI melody for the instrumental part. Created some automation for the Volume, a couple of the Drawbars and the Rotary Speed and it came up a treat.

This is well worth looking at.

IMHO

Are you using it within Reaper, Tony?

I tried what you are doing here, loaded a midi supertrack and then added the CollaB3 VSTi on that track.

CollaB3 then displays the message "The buffer size 442 is not supported, use a multiple of 8"

I assume it is talking about a Reaper setting someplace, do you know? Never seen that message before, but then I don't do much with midi either.

I got that message in the standalone. I clicked it off and it came up about 5 times until it stopped - and the program ran fine.
I then went into the Settings and changed the buffer size to 448 and the message stopped coming up...

Hi Dave, no I tend to do MIDI in Cakewalk then freeze the track and pull the audio into Reaper for mixing with the RealTracks. I am more familiar with MIDI in Cakewalk and have tools I understand. I could go back in the room and try it out if you like.

I pulled it into Reaper added the MIDI SuperTrack and it seems to be fine.

Thanks floyd and Tony!

floyd, I see that setting in the standalone version and I made that change. No longer get the buffer size error in the standalone version.

However that option it is not available in the VSTi version, only options under settings are UI Zoom factor and Max voices.

I was hoping if I made the change in the standalone version it would save it to a config file someplace and would be picked up by the VSTi, but no luck.

Tony, did you actually get it to play a midi file within Reaper?

Dave, yes I created a track put a MIDI item in it. Added the VST. Then thought whoops need something to play. Pulled in the MIDI SuperTrack lifted it to the created track and hit play. Away it went, seemed fine.

Is the buffer size an audio buffer. I know when I load the stand alone version it barfs if I try to set it to ASIO. But then my Reaper speaks ASIO.

I finally tried it in Studio One... It gave me the buffer size error, but gave me the option to ignore it - which I chose - and it came up and played the MIDI that I fed it...

Help needed with CollaB3. I downloaded the file and see it in my HD.
When I open the file the Hammond keyboard comes up, but where do I go from there?
I have BIAB open to a file that is .mgu with midi vibes in the melody track.
So I try to replace the vibes with a CollaB3 organ but cannot find where to select it.
I have tried in midi patch/midi super track/HiQ midi track.
What is the sequence of commands needed?
Thanks

I don’t have a Mac but I assume it is similar.

Go to the track with the midi file you want played in BIAB. Then up the top of the mixer Select - Plugins then Click on the first (none) Then in the box that opens Select the first choice then Add VST. Go to to the folder with the Collab3 VST DLLs or whatever You use (not the exe) Then select it. The organ should then load.

Tony (hope this works)

Tony,

After finding the box "VST/DXSynth/Plugnins", It looked slightly different than your example (Mac OSX) but I but kept on trying to find the collaB3 until I got a yellow pop-up which indicated that I needed to be running 64 bit.
Mine is 32 so I guess I'm out of luck.

Thanks for the detailed response.

I was under the impression it had both 32 and 64 bit versions. But I might be wrong. Check your install.
