If you'll notice, there is a box under the Play button that says "Band on Dbl Click" If you uncheck that, you can hear the solo track. On my installation, you can click the stop box or hit the space bar and it will stop. Also just noticed that there are two boxes, Band and Solo under the start button -- works on my installation.
