Alan, you are a master at composing these smooth jazz tracks! I love the way that chorus emerges in a different direction from the verses! I too am amazed at the way tracks sometimes sound different when uploading to Soundcloud. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful track that you put together! Thanks, Torrey

We've watched Diana Krall Live In Paris many times. And
this has that fluid laid back (in a good way) feel.

Many thanks, my friend! I appreciate those very kind comments! The song is in the key of Eb. The chorus goes into Gm and then evolves back into Eb. It was just one of those quirky ideas that, apparently, worked out pretty good. You might be surprised how much experimenting I do before settling on some of the tracks and chord patterns I end up choosing. Some of them sound really weird and awful ... but it's a great feeling when one of them works out half-decent! Again, many thanks! Best to you and please be safe ... Alan

More Al Green hued stuff, please! Hello TM! Hope all is well up in Maryland ... I graduated from University of Maryland many prehistoric years back! I dated a girl from Oxen Hill for about a year. Anyway, thank you so much for your very supportive and wonderful comments. As far as my vocals, I guess I do okay with some of the ballads and smooth jazz tunes. But I have a very limited vocal range and have to really stretch for some of those notes! I love Al Green ... and Al Jereau. Barry White fits in there, too. Thanks again! wishing you the very best. We co-wrote about 45 songs over a two-year period. Many of them I cannot post here because the were not created on BIAB. And Di's health has diminished significantly since then and no longer has the strength to sing. Thus, we can't redo thim with BIAB backing tracks. We hope that will change in the future. Steve Tyrell is our favorite contemporary male Jazz singer. We fully agree with you about Diana Krall in Paris. We also listen to her segment from the Montreal Jazz Festival in, I think, 2004.
