Hello Chris,
These are for the most part Band-in-a-Box song files in the "Songs and Lessons" folder. For example, for "101 Riffs Bluegrass", here is what you could do:
First, you could open the notation window and view the melody track, and also open the Guitar window if you want (Note - if you don't see tab, set Melody track type to guitar (melody menu | track type).
1. Open the first file, Bgrass001. You could view the memo for a description of this file (hotkey: Option + M).
2. after practicing the first riff, open the next by pressing Shift + F8 (hotkey for File - Open Special - Open next.)
