I received an offer to upgrade to Cubase 10.5 Pro and seriously considered this, but, as I am "a little slow on the uptake sometimes" at 76 years old, I thought why consider further learning I am still struggling with BIAB frown I wondered whether there might be a multitrack recorder which could work with MIDI files and thought "why not ask in the forum?" So here it is then, does such a modern day machine exist with this functionality? I spent most of yesterday hunting around, but got more and more confused. Thanks in advance for any insights. Hi Maurice ,

Since you received an upgrade offer for Cubase 10.5 Pro it appears to me that you already own/use Cubase although you did not specify which version of Cubase you now own or use .

I own/use Cubase LE A1 Elements 10 ( Macintosh version ) . Actually I started using Cubase/Steinberg software more than 40 years ago in the days of " floppy " disks . Their copy rights system then and now is still the best .

It is a great DAW ( multi-tracking audio/video ) although the learning curve is steep . That is not meant to imply you would not be able to learn it .

At this point I am working with the " video " aspects of Cubase .

Also I still find Cubase ( Steinberg products ) are very expensive once you get into it because there are many " add on " Steinberg's software you may end up wanting to buy which means more and more $$$$$ . Also there is the " hardware " you may need to work effectively with Cubase .

Good luck on your choice of multitracking software and of course happy Banding in a Box .
