That's some great advice, I'm sure other users will find this helpful.

I make sure to follow that same principal of always copying stuff to a new track/file/layer/etc. when editing regardless of if I am doing audio/video/photo/etc.

Editing right on the original source is known as "destructive editing" and generally to be avoided.

Another thing I'd like to add in case it's helpful:

In RealBand, if you select Audio Effect > DirectX Audio Plugins, there is an option you can apply called PG Reverb. The controls are slightly different from the Reverb effect accessed in the Audio Effects menu, so this could be something to try out if you want to experiment with different reverb options.
