Have you tried any of the RECOVERY apps? I've had reasonable success with freebies. Certainly worth a try. Hi Donny Thanks for thinking of that but the drive was a lost cause. Totalled! I'm running BB on Win7 and win10 drives now and just for 'fun' I have installed an old 1TB drive and use it for BB etc on XP. Yes XP. As Andrew found out sometimes updates have bugs in them that only affect XP - as in the first release of BB2020, now long fixed. Cheers Ian
