Great job on the vocals. A little Springsteen feel to it. That’s a good thing.

Love the write. Gets a very important message across, very effectively. And your vocals carry the honesty, sincerity, an power of the lyrics perfectly.

Like Floyd said, the band is all you need for a vocal like this.

The only (very minor) suggestion is the the length of the intro. At 40 seconds, that’s definitely unusually long. On the other hand, it lays a bed of “contemplation” to set the mood for the vocals to come. So it can go either way.

My (again, minor) suggestion would be to cut the intro in half, and maybe end the intro with a sustained chord the first half of the last bar of the intro, then the 4-5 on the last 2 beats. That’s just the way I think. But it doesn’t take anything away from this fine write and presentation!
