Wow! 3/4 of a million views! (That seems like a lot for a 1980's album cut, especially one that Roy almost never played in concert.)

I like "California Blue" too, but I'm surprised that it's "possibly your favorite" Roy song.

One of the things I love about Roy is that his catalog runs deep, in that album cuts are mostly carefully chosen (and Roy wrote many fine songs), and carefully crafted with great arrangements and A+ musicians.

I noticed when poking around on youtube that many of Roy's biggest hits have large numbers (>10 million) but the views are for RE-RECORDS, while many of the (almost always superior) original recordings may have several hundred thousand or a million views.

It occurred to me that there are generations of younger viewers / listeners who are liking his stuff, but have never heard the brilliance of the original recordings, and in fact appear to be unaware that they have not listened to an original recording.
