On the plus side, it's always there when I need it ....
And it likely never needs to go into the shop. That was the story with the early iterations of the Variax too. I have been at shows where suddenly 4 strings stopped playing because the humidity affected the main system board. The latest in the James Tyler series seems to have fixed that.
