I have really been enjoying getting to grips with relearning BIAB which I last used around 2012. It really has grown-up!
I currently have the 2020 Megapak and would like to upgrade to the top level package of either Ultrapak+ or Audiophile Edition. My main problem is that I am based in the U.K. and PG Music can only supply Audiophile Edition on Hard Disk that will incur import duties of around 20% of the upgrade pricing. A download of 120gb would not be a problem in obtaining Ultrapak+.
After checking with the Help desk, I see that the only difference in the two packages is that the suppporting audio files are delivered in WAV format for Audiophile and WMA lossy for Ultrapak+ which is the file format for all other Windows based packages. Has anyone noticed a substantial benefit in using the WAV files in the Audiophile Edition?

I'll just add that in the Audiophile version you get BOTH the compressed WMA files and the uncompressed WAV files. Thus it takes up over 1.5 TB. That would be a serious download. There are other threads here about finding an alternate delivery method to avoid the tax you cite, but I don't think there is a good answer yet.

WavPack (wv) and Flac (flac) is lossless and will compressed to under half. WavPack will give up to 16 channels for multichannel drums:

Import duties, every year it's the same sh*t in the EU, also with the updates. Downloads are free (not officially).
For the UK: Isn't PGmusic a Canadian based company with some different custom rules? Ask Deryk if he can send it from Canada LoL.
PS in December each year there is a 4 weeks 50% discount period; wait until then or upgrade from the wma version if you can't wait?
Maybe PG can set up shop in the EU at some point. Every year we pay the even 26% (not only VAT but importduties too) over stuff we have already paid for (the same files again, plus 20% new stuff).
I would suggest for PG to make a separate updated files ONLY as download for registered customers. Peer to Peer torrents? I have a Russian program with regular updates of some 30 to even 90 GB. files, works fine with a modern internet provider.
I suggested having just the updated Audiophiles as a download in rar but the wavpack would be smaller still.
