Hallo,
bin neu hier im Forum. Habe schon überall gesucht, aber keine Lösung gefunden: Ich besitze BIAB-SuperPAK 8.5, da sollten ja eigentlich alle Styles enthalten sein. Leider wird aber der RealDrum-Ordner "Rock128" nicht gefunden (ihn gibt´s auch wirklich nicht.)
Nun meine Frage: Wie komme ich an diesen Style, der ist scheinbar einer der raren 6/8-Styles? (Das Problem habe ich schon, seit es die RealDrum-Styles gibt, und dachte, dieser Style wäre in einer neuen Version dann enthalten.)
Wäre dankbar für eine Lösung, das Programm ist ansonsten wiklich toll.

Ich habe alle Style-Sets installiert und kann bei mir keinen Rock128 Style finden.
In welchem Style-Set sollte der Style enthalten sein?

Genau da liegt das Problem, der RealdrumStyle Rock128 war mal als einzelner Style bei einem der ersten Bonuspaks dabei, als die RealDrums gerade eingeführt wurden. Dummerweise habe ich dieses Bonuspak nicht gekauft und dachte, dieser Style wäre nun in einem der Style-Sets mit dabei. Das ist aber scheinbar nicht der Fall, einige Styles (z.B. ^-BEEBSLO - ein 12/8 Blues-Style) verlangen aber den Realdrum-Ordner "Rock128". Vielleicht ist es möglich, diesen RealDrum-Ordner irgendwo mit anzubieten, damit die Fehlermeldung verschwindet.

Habe unterdessen selbst mal den Support kontaktiert: Es ist zum Auswachsen, scheinbar wissen die nicht, was sie mal angeboten haben. Jetzt soll ich nach einigem Hin und Her das Übliche für die Fehlerdiagnose hinmailen, Betriebssystem, CPU-Modell,...na das Übliche halt.
Das Problem ist aber, daß auf KEINEM meiner 3 Computer der Ordner "Rock128" existiert, ganz einfach aus dem Grunde, daß in keinem der RealDrum-Setups dieser Ordner enthalten ist. Das könnte doch ganz einfach kontrolliert werden.
Na ja, ich versuch´s weiter und gebe dann Bescheid.
PS: Hat noch ein anderer außer mir dieses Problem mit dem fehlenden Rock128 -Ordner? Dann bitte hier kurz posten (oder auch, falls irgendjemand diesen Ordner im BB-Verzeichnis hat). Danke!

Hallo Albrecht,
in meinem Drums-Verzeichnis befindet sich der Ordner Rock128. Ich habe seit Erscheinen der Realdrums alle Sets und alle Updates installiert. Kann Dir daher leider nicht mehr genau sagen, mit welchem Set der Ordner damals kam.
Der Ordner enthält je eine .bt0-, .txt- und .wav-Datei mit der Bezeichnung "Rock128_070_Style...". Da bei mir diese Dateien ein Dateidatum vom November 2006 tragen, gehe ich davon aus, dass sie mit den allersten Sets installiert wurden.
Hoffe, ich konnte Dir trotzden helfen.

vielen Dank für die Antwort.
Habe nochmal die RealDrum-Sets 1-3 installiert (die anderen folgten ja erst Mitte 2007 ), der Ordner bleibt verschwunden. Ich habe auch alle MegaPap-Updates samt RealDrums seit dem Erscheinen installiert.
Hast Du vielleicht 2006 bei dem Update das Bonus 25-PAK mitbestellt, da waren zusätzliche RealDrum-Styles dabei, unter anderem eben "Rock128" .
Hier nochmal der restliche Inhalt des Paks (hab´s nach Google-Befragung herausgefunden):
25 PAK
1. 25PAK Video.exe: This is a video tutorial about the contents of the 25 PAK.
2. 200 Folksongs.exe: 200 Folk Songs for Band-in-a-Box.
3. Blues Pianist 2.exe: Blues Pianist Volume 2.
4. Guitar Chords.exe: Guitar Chord Dictionary.
5. Jeff Lorber Soloists.exe: Jeff Lorber Fusion and Screaming Rock 6. Guitar/Synth Soloists for Band-in-a-Box.
6. NoteMatch.exe: NoteMatch! music game.
7. RealDrums Bonus.exe: Extra RealDrums bonus styles for Band-in-a-Box
Ich hatte leider nur das Bonus17-PAK.

So, hab´s herausgefunden:
Ende 2006 wurde BIAB 2007 herausgebracht mit RealDrums. Ich habe das MegaPak-Update gekauft zusammen mit dem Bonus 17-PAK . Es gab auch noch ein Bonus 25-PAK, in dem sich eine "RealDrums Bonus.exe" befand, die u.a. den "Rock128"-Ordner enthielt (Ralf war wahrscheinlich schlauer und hat gleich das Bonus 25-PAK genommen). Leider wurde zumindest dieser Style nirgends wieder angeboten, so daß jetzt diese Fehlermeldungen kommen, wenn man bestimmte Styles der 63er Style-Disk benutzt.
Vielleicht könnten diese Styles irgendwo nochmal eingebaut werden?

Hallo Albrecht,
stimmt, die Datei "Realdrums_Bonux.exe" war Tei des 2007er PlusPAK. Sie ist 60 mb groß.
Frag doch beim PGMusic-Support, ob Sie dir Datei zugänglich machen. Sie sind in solchen Sachen guten Kunden gegenüber immer sehr kulant.
Bei mir wird Rock128 übrigens im Stylepicker gar nicht mehr angeboten, obwohl der Ordner im Dums-Vereichnis liegt. Offenbar werden die damaligen Bonussystes nicht mehr eingebunden. Auch die inzwischen vielen Updates auf die Realsdrums wirken sich auf Rock128 nicht aus. Die Dateien haben immer noch das alte Datum von 2006. Offenbar wird der Style also gar nicht mehr weiter gepflegt. Ein Auslaufmodell sozusagen.
Ansonsten finde ich den Style jetzt auch nicht so weltbewegend, dass man ihn nicht durch andere erseten könnte. 128-Sytles gibt es doch reichlich. Ändere doch z.B. Pop128 (gibt es mehrere davon) so ab, dass es etwas "rockiger" klingt. Dann weist Du Deinen Songs, die unbedingt Rock128 als Style wollen , den neuen Style zu.

Danke für die Tipps, der Style wird wirklich nicht mehr gepflegt. Ich poste hier mal die Antwort auf meine Anfrage an den Support (eben bekommen), da wird noch eine andere Möglichkeit gezeigt, wie das Problem gelöst werden kann:

Hello Albrecht,
The following styles were included in some of the first BB2007 MegaPAKs
released. They refer to Rock128 RealDrums (included in a special Bonus
PAK), but that RealDrums style was later released as Pop128^, which is part
of RealDrums Set 4. You can either delete the following styles and MGU's
(only the ones with the minus sign in front of the style name, i.e. the
"Styles with RealDrums"), or you can change the RealDrums styles so they
point to Pop128 instead of Rock128.
You can safely delete the styles, because you should still have the regular
(non minus sign) styles, and you can still use RealDrums with these styles.
For example, you'll probably have both "BeeBSlo.STY" and "-BeeBSlo.STY".
The MGU demo songs will be found in the Styles61 through Styles66 folders.
You don't need to delete these; you will just get a 'style not found'
message when you try to play them.

If you want, you can instead change the RealDrums style that the style (STY)
is assigned to. To do this:
1. Open one of the styles above, and open the StyleMaker (Ctrl-Shift-F9, or
Styles menu | StyleMaker | Edit Current Style).
2. Press the MISC button.
3. In the RealDrums Settings area, click the RD button to change the Drum
Style name, and select Pop128^ (any variation you want).
4. Save the style and close the StyleMaker.

Ich habe mal die Möglichkeit 2 mit dem Stylemaker ausprobiert - es funktioniert wunderbar.
(Aber es stimmt, es gibt auch bessere Styles)
Das Löschen der Styles mit dem Minus-Zeichen funktioniert auch, bis auf die Drums gleichen sie denen ohne Minus-Zeichen, und man kann ihnen ja auch RealDrums zuweisen (oder sie suchen sich selbst welche)

Hallo Albrecht,
schön, dass es nun eine Lösung gibt.
Das Beispiel zeigt aber wieder einmal, dass BiaB im Laufe der Zeit und wegen der vielen, vielen Upgrades unglaublich "Speck angesetzt" hat". Dazu hat auch beigetragen, dass PGMusic immer den Tipp gab, ältere BiaB-Versionen tunlichst auf der Platte zu lassen, oder - im Fall einer Neuinstallation - ältere Versionen sogar ausdrücklich zuvor in chronologischer Reihenfolge zu installieren, bevor die neue Fassung dann drüber gelegt wird. Auch hier im Forum ist dieser Tipp Standard.
Den vordergründigen Vorteil, dadurch auch ältere Styles und sonstige Beigaben der Altfasssungen von BIAB zu retten, erkauft man sich m.E. aber mit einer immer schlimmer werdenden Unübersichtlichkeit der Installation. Ich nutze BiaB nun ich glaube seit Version 2004 oder 2005, habe alle Updates und Erweiterungen - auch die jeweiligen Zwischenversionen 2xxx.5 sowie Realdrums und Realtracks und auch Realbrushes (verstehe übrigens nicht,warum die nicht Teil der Realdrums sind...). Ich könnte daher heute nicht mehr mit Sicherheit sagen, was an den tausenden Dateien nun überflüssig ist, und was nicht. Die Sache mit den Minuszeichen für löschbare Dateien, z.B. war mir neu.
Vorschlag: Es wäre schon, wenn PGMusic mal eine "bereinigte Version" rausbringt, die alle vorherigen Versionen tatsächlich überflüssig macht und mit dem angehäuften Ballast aufräumt. Ein Versionsschnitt ist längst überfällig!
Die "Alt-User" mit ihren unübersichtlichen Mehrfach-Installationen würden sich sicher freuen!

Hallo Ralf,
ich glaub´, das Minuszeichen vor den Styles bedeutet, daß es Styles mit Realdrums oder "Real-sonst-etwas" sind, wahrscheinlich gibt es von jedem dieser Styles noch eine Version ohne Minuszeichen mit Mididrums, für alle ohne Realdrums (Rechner zu langsam, ...). Im Falle der Rock128-Styles hätte man die Realdrum-Versionen auch einfach löschen können, dann wären halt Mididrums zum Einsatz gekommen und die Fehlermeldung wäre weggewesen. Ich habe aber lieber den Realdrumstyles ein Pop128-Realdrumset zugewiesen.
Die Größe des BB-Ordners ist wirklich immens, 16,5 GB (17.821.081.600 Bytes) und 1399 Ordner, das meiste im Drum-und Realtrack-Ordner, da läßt sich nicht viel einsparen
Mein Laptop ist unterdessen damit überfordert, man hat ja nicht nur BIAB drauf (habe mit Version12 angefangen, das war, glaub´ ich, 2002). Naja, da erstelle ich die Backings halt auf dem neueren Rechner und exportiere sie als mp3-Datei.
Was von den alten Dateien noch gebraucht wird, kann ich auch nicht sagen. Wenn man nur die letzte Version installiert, wird man sich vermutlich nur manchmal bei der Suche nach einem passenden Style fragen: "Ich hatte doch mal soeinen, der...". Es sind wirklich ganz schön viele, aber ohne genügend Auswahl klingt alles gleich.
