Windows XP build 294. External MIDI keyboard with EDIROL interface.

I built an arrangement that starts in 5/4 time, goes to 4/4 for a couple of swing choruses, then reverts to 5/4 at the coda. The playback of that arrangement without melody sounds fine to me. I recorded the keyboard/melody track, playing in unison with the backing; however, the song playback has the melody early by about a sixteenth note, and that's the way it shows up in the notes display.

So, I time-shifted the melody track to put the melody playback in sync with the other tracks. That worked fine UNTIL the switch to 4/4, at which point the melody is late by ... yep ... about a sixteenth note.

Questions:
1. Is there a bug in BiaB?
2. Can I time-shift PART of the melody track? If so, how?
3. Should I concede, break the arrangement into three parts, record them separately and splice them together with BiaB? With RealBand?

Thanks for suggestions.
