Yeah I do use PT and I eventually put out wave files and leave them there, however, this a.m. I was working on a song. My keyboard skills are very rusty and so I like to play through the song a bunch of times and develop an idea, then I like to record it. Each time I record it the RT are regenerated. It would be nice to have the ability to keep the current generated real tracks until I say change them. It would also be nice to have a punch in facility in BIAB.
