Down Under was recorded in 1980, and Larrikin Music purchased the copyright of Kookaburra in 1990 for $6.00,and then sued for 5% of the royalties from Down Under (which was a big seller).

I reckon it was a set up.

The coincidence was first raised in the music quiz show 'Spicks and Specks'

10 years after they bought the rights - (10 years, hello?) the purchasers found out that they had an opportunity to go on a feeding frenzy.

Flutist Greg Ham who played the little riff, eventually took his own life. so sad
