I have only been using BIB for a couple of weeks after purchasing it at the beginning of the year. Now that I'm using it I am finding SO many cool features to explore! But being a noob, I have encountered a problem...

I have a song in BIB that When it starts it is using a style that has 4 parts (bass, drums, Piano, Guitar), but in the middle I change styles for 8 bars that uses the melody track for Guitar 2. I am (relatively) happy with how it sounds in BIB.

So I fired up Studio One 5 to import the audio tracks into a song there. The problem is the melody track doesn't appear in the track list as a WAV file, not is it copied with the 'all' function or individually. So the 2nd guitar in the solo does not appear in Studio one. via the VST.

I guess I could copy that section out of the BIB song and place it in a second file, leaving a gap in the original song and copy/pasting it into that gap in Studio one. But is there an easier way? I've tried setting the melody track to a real sound or midi sound and muting it, but when the style changes it doesn't pick up the new sound.

Am I doing something wrong/something I should be doing differently?

Thanks in advance,
Lou

The VST Plugin is a work in progress so they are still ironing out the issues.
You could open another instance of the VST Plugin with the same song but just use the style you have for the 8 bars for the whole song then drag that guitar 2 track in and adjust it to the 8 bars.
Studio One Chords from Biab Plugin

You can just drag from Biab the whole track or a highlighted section of bars.

Problems have been reported when opening two instances of the VST simultaneously. Support has stated that should not be done... just sayin. grin

I was under the impression the VST integration was fairly new.

After sleeping on it I came up with an idea that I hoped would solve the problem.

I added a new measure at the beginning and changed the style used in the solo, muting all instruments
In Measure 2 I changed the style to the main style used in the song, setting on bass and drums to normal for the intro.
in measure 6 I reset all instruments to normal.
It sounded good in BIB.

The result was mixed in Studio One with the VST:
The good news is the guitar two track was now active and I could drag it into Studio One.
The bad news it was silent. lol

Think I am going to play around with it a bit more and see what I can do. I'm not THAT in love with the solo so maybe I'll come up with something else.

Thanks for the info!
Lou

I have been using the plugin in both studio one on my PC and Logic on my Mac. The latest version is actually pretty solid. The only issue I am having right now is that the Multiriffs do not pad properly. I hear that this issue is being looked at.
