The MaxxAudio Pro application (which was never mentioned by any support) has a built in equalizer and other settings = enhancements.

I have just managed to change them for the headphone option settings to produce excellent audio and stop the muffled output.
Zero noise, zero flutter.

Nobody from Dell or otherwise seems to know about this. I found it while looking at driver upgrades on the Dell site and while trying to find and install the missing Realtek HD Audio Manager

I hope I can get the ASIO driver working next and then I may try old Behringer one more time.



This is excellent, Berntd. I've been following the thread out of curiosity and hopeful that a solution would be found.

It seems that my guess, in my post way back near the beginning somewhere, wasn't too far off.
