I was asked by one of my friends in Shetland Adaline Christie-Johnston to compose a tune for her husbands birthday yesterday The tune is called Alastair Christie- Johnston.Luckily they both love it.
RTs used were kept to a bare minimum to let the melody be heard properly without clutter.

RealTracks in song: 2865:Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm CelticSlowWaltzDave Ev 100

I WAS feeling crap when I recorded it as I'd had a fever for a week and for the last three days it had reached 38.4. The cause is a leg infection. It's only tonight it's finally been back to normal, so I hop you enjoy the first tune of my own for some time ?

First and foremost I'm glad that you are feeling better. That was quite a fever you had there!

Second, of course they would love it. It is a beautiful piece of music.

The accordion maestro is also a master songwriter.

Great work here Graham.

My goal this weekend is to move just enough each day so that no one pokes me to see if I'm dead or not.

Hi Graham,

It's not luck that your friends liked this song. It is your quality! I got jealous watching you play so easily on the accordion. For me it was an impossible instrument. I've tried it several times but ended on a 12 string. Something quite different!

And I am happy to read you are feeling better than before. I hope that upward trend continues!

Stay safe,
Hans

Hi Greg thanks so much, the lady in question is the sister of a well known musician who died suddenly in his 30s, I was touched she asked me to compose this tune as there's so many great musicians in the Shetland Islands where she lives

Thanks so much Hans, People often ask me years ago how long did it take you to learn to play that. I always answered I'm still learning and hopefully will never stop learning.

Beautiful.

Creating music for others to hear is the whole point. And when that's done specifically for someone you know, that's very special.

Well done.

I assume the "hop" comment was a pun based on your crook peg. Hope you're on the med now.
The melody is great and a wonderful gift.

Cheers

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
