Yes, a midi file would import the chord structure into PT. In PT, you would select the range of bars (Chorus, Bridge, or even just a few bars to make your harmonies with, no need to delete "parts not wanted". You can select the exact # of bars in PT, not BB.

Why would you want to import into BB? Make the harmonies in PT and be done with it. Do you have PT there?

I was saying to delete the unwanted parts with a harmony made with BB. BB only has a single audio track. You either harmonize the whole song, or select parts and have bits of wave files here and there to try and sync back together. DO NOT hard write-generate the harmony to the audio track in BB. You want the harmonies on separate tracks for more control in the mix down.

If you have PT, export the song from BB as a midi. If there is a wave file in the audio track of BB, it will auto save. Open the midi and wave in PT. Select bars you want harmony, click TC button. Set up TC dialog and audition. Adjust, audition etc...until you get something you like. Render and move to the next section of harmony. Wash, rinse, repeat as needed etc...
