Martin, I know we are in the BIAB for Windows forum, but do you have BIAB for Mac? I seem to recall a difference here. I also know that you know your stuff as well as any of us.

Anyway, in BIAB for Windows, there is Edit, Transpose, From .. To. The Transpose dialog box allows me to specify the starting bar (Transpose From), the number of bars to transpose (where I can enter a 1), Transpose From Key and Transpose To Key.

To the OP, it doesn't matter if you know what the key signature is, because there will be an entry in the Transpose From Key box telling you what BIAB thinks it is at that point (and that may well be C if you didn't enter a key signature). Whatever that is, add a half-step (using the OP's example) and there you go: the notation and chord(s) in that bar are raised by a half-step.
