I suspect this is why there is no conversation about this here...no one else understands it either! For example, in your step 5 you say import the WAV into the bass channel. What happens to the bass track? What if I want to mix individual tracks in my DAW (and I ALWAYS do!) It sounds like a complicated process with serious compromises. An option to simply freeze bar by bar would be far easier for most folks to use.
