Am I losing it?

My #1 squeeze took me to the opera last Wednesday to see Tosca. Apparently the guy perfoming 'Scarpia' (the Police Officer) is now 69 and was a former boyfriend of hers. She is now 42.

This was at THE Opera house.

Vienna.

Sets: wonderful
Costumes: wonderful
Arias: wonderful
Performers: wonderful

So why was I in tears throughout the performance?

You were thinking what she could have bought with the ticket money instead?
Sorry, Sam, only joking - couldn't resist!

You need to move to the US , learn country music and live in a two horse town.

Dogs, women, cars, drama...

They you'll cry for sure, the beer is weak. You cry in it and it gets weaker and saltier.

Hey, Johns! Very witty replies on both your parts!

What else could she buy? She's only taking me to London for a few days from Friday to see 'Elvis Live' at the O2 Arena and the ABBA exhibition at Earls Court and booked a 1 bedroom suite in a 5* hotel on the Thames with a river view overlooking the House of Commons... And that was just PART of my Christmas present...

Do I have a Gönnerin or what?

Sorry to inform you but I heard Elvis is dead. And hanging around London, at any time of year, makes people miserable like the weather.

Funny, it was always me paying for women to go somewhere. I think you watched that Steve Marten David Nivven movie too many times you scoundrel. Ask her for a Rolex and an Austin Martin and a trip to Ascot. If you get that stuff hang on to her and date her daughter.

I know Elvis is dead. This will be a gig with films where the King is still there (like the Comeback Special) with ALL backing trax removed except for E's voice. The band and backing singers are performing LIVE.

Aye, I may be a scoundrel but ask her for a Rolex or an Aston (note the spelling, John) Martin? I would lose her quicker than a month of Sundays... As for Ascot, piece of cake - been there and done that in any case (long before I met Her Ladyship). As it happens, she has a fascination with Queen Elizabeth I and seems to see me as either the Earl of Essex or the Earl of Leicester but not Sir Francis Drake nor Sir Walter Raleigh... I wonder why? I'm too charming to be such a public disgrace, perhaps? Bite me!

Me? Well, I may be a rake and a scoundrel but I'm British. Isn't that how we built the Empire???

God save The Queen (and all who sail in her, like Prince Philip )

What's more, she has NO LIVING RELATIVES and owns an apartment building in the centre of the capital city with 30 apartments in it... Money no object. KWIM?

As I said, BITE ME!

I heard that Canada considers their hockey players as cultural ambassadors, to the great unwashed in the U.S. Any truth to that?

Cultured Hockey Players? Oxy-moronic that. Of course it's become much more sophisticated, I remember most of the guys in my high school class were missing front teeth from pucks, and didn't care a hoot. We suck maple syrup and are all ice holes. Some guy named Colbert invaded Canada last week and put us in our place. We cut wood, make hockey sticks, and export oil and gas to the US in exchange for Wendy's franchises. We go small. A Large Pop here is 10 oz. You call a large soda which is the same thing, but you fill a pail with ice and a few drops of stuff goes in there over and over. Our food is 1/4 the size for the same price in fast food places. Except a nice prime rib steak I will have for supper cost 3.50 and I might not be able to eat the whole thing.

We are suppressed, allowed to visit any doctor we want for free, and in exchange for the government paying for our medical bills we sometimes have to wait a few weeks to get to see a specialist, for me it was 3. So many people are aging they are worried about all the hip and knee jobs, so we are talking about raising the price of crude oil and natural gas that we sell you so you pay for my knees. Good deal that.

We don't make a lot of money off locks. I got a new front door and put the old doorknob on, but we can't find the keys. Anyways I friend of a guy I knew lived in a bad part of town and word got out he had some gold so 3 dudes kicked in his door. He should have done like me and left it open, it's cheaper in the end.

Hockey players culture includes beer drinking and chasing women, driving fast cars and fighting. If you need help with that look up a hockey player. He's gonna know the words to the Hockey song cause they sing it in every hick arena in the country.

The main reason we don't allow you to bring in guns is it wouldn't be fair. Our cops didn't get them until 20 to 30 years ago, and the border guards are starting to get some, but might never use them cause if you ask most people to stop nice they do.

If you want to know about 'Mafia', you should watch German language TV. Anybody would think THEY won the war. Everything is dubbed over and when you hear the same voice for Magnum PI (US) and DI Barnaby (UK) you get REALLY irritated as an actor. Godddamit, I am an Actor but the Mafia in the great Vaterland is UNBELIEVABLE!!!
