Musicians and writers would labor in the vineyards of Nashville, on country roads, and in the studios, in a handful of which hits were produced. It was as fair as it could be, and it worked, in that the cream rose to the top. The musician community, for lack of a better phrase, was also an important factor, as well as the business community. Just thoughts. Is that anywhere near the target?
